I think the worst thing about the way Dreamwidth is used is the fact that I can't make short, snappy shitposts on it. There's no value to it because posts can't be reblogged without far too much effort, and most people aren't going to go that length for a subpar-at-best joke post.

I would give a lot for a "like" feature on Dreamwidth. (Although I will at least laugh at shitposts. Apparently some people are organizing a shitposting month on Dreamwidth for February? Yes I know that sounds ridiculous, but maybe worth looking into?)

I'm trying to get in the habit of leaving a top comment on my own posts with "Reply with an emoji to like this post". But I should look into actual widgets.

Paid dw allows you to embed polls into your posts and I think staranise is the one who uses that feature to allow people to "respond" to post with a "kudos."
